Microneedling

-Avoid sun exposure and/or usage of a tanning bed 1 week prior to treatment. Microneedling will not be done on sunburned skin.

-Avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications prior to treatment

-Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac and similar retinoids should be avoided 1 week prior to treatment

-No area/s to be treated should receive any type of chemical or laser peel for 2 weeks prior to treatment

-Waxing and/or use of chemical depilatories should be avoided for 2 weeks prior to treatment

-If you have a history of cold sores, it is recommended to use anti-viral medication one week prior to treatment, your Dr must provide you with a prescription for Zelitrex anti-viral tablets

Pre-Treatment Instructions 

Post-Treatment Instructions 

-NO make-up, for at least 7 hours after treatment

-NO sunscreen, for at least 7 hours after treatment

-Avoid sun exposure, wear at least SPF30 sunscreen daily

-NO anti-histamine or anti-inflammatory medication

-NO sweating (exercise), for at least 7 hours after treatment

-NO chemical products or products with active ingredients, for at least 7 hours after treatment

-Do not use exfoliating medications, chemicals, or non-recommended products on the treated areas for at least 1 week

-Avoid jacuzzi, sauna, or steam baths for 2 days

-Avoid picking or exfoliating the area and allow old/dry/dead skin to flake off naturally

What to expect 

-Redness

-Swelling

-Burning / Stinging sensation

-Breakouts/bumps

-Skin peeling/shedding

-Dry and/or tight feeling skin

-Sun sensitivity

-Rough feeling skin

 

Every person's skin reacts different but some symptoms may occur as long as 7 days after the treatment
